Strong Young Minds
-
Strong Young Minds is a programme for young people aged 9–26 in Herefordshire.
It is run by ONSIDE and funded by the Lottery. The aim is to help young people feel better and look after their mental health. The programme has been running since 2015.
About the service
We support young people with things that can make life harder, such as feeling worried, feeling low, problems with friends or school, bullying, or feeling bad about themselves.
Young people can get one‑to‑one support, short‑term help, workshops, groups, and peer support. Our youth workers also run activities in the community to help young people build confidence and learn ways to cope with stress.
Strong Young Minds works with young people, their parents or carers, and professionals. We also help young people become Champions who spread the message about the importance of good mental health in their communities.
